This summer i’ve been through an amazing journey.I got to go to New York Fashion Week and not only, but i’ve been exactly in the middle of it all.Working as an intern at Marc Jacobs has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And i can tell you it’s been the best summer ever due to it.
Going through the craziness of fashion week is absolutely not possible to describe in words.I repeat.NOT POSSIBLE.It’s been a non-stop no weekend 15 hour a day job.It sounds exhausting as it is,but as i said,it can’t be described in words.
Even though that sounds a little rough,i can say that i still loved it.I got to see the most famous models in the world, spend everyday with the coolest colleagues and people, see and live in the most incredible and interesting city in the world, witness global-level events, and be in the same room with Marc Jacobs everyday :))).
It’s been a LOT of hard work. And even if i try to explain this to my friends and people my age at least(im 17),they still don’t seem to get the concept of real and raw hard work. It’s been a mind-blowing oportunity and it makes me want to punch anybody who says that i’ve been nothing but a “slave” or why would anybody do that if there isn’t any money involved?I’ll tell you why.I’ve learned things that some people won’t learn in a lifetime and it was fun.I’ve made great friends and i learned what ambition is with their help.
In the end after sawing flowers, dying materials and counting sequins(3/1000 things that had to be done around) all was worth it at the show.
All was represented by 12 minutes of pure art and beauty.
